Castle Combe have announced they will be hosting the traditional Superbike Grand National in August with several treats in store for visitors to the event.

To be held on the weekend of 16th and 17th of August, leading the celebrations will be British Superbike race winner Leon Haslam and his father Ron, who will both be on track for demonstrations.

Haslam Jr will be showing off the HM Plant Honda he competes with in the British Superbike Championship, while Ron will be riding Andy Caddick's ex-Honda UK and Wayne Gardner three-cylinder RS500 machine.

As one of the most successful riders of the 1980s, Ron has an envious reputation in the UK and while he has only ever raced at Castle Combe once in his career, it is destined to be one of the few times to see both Ron and Leon on track at the same time.

Elsewhere, local European Championship racer Tommy Bridewell will race his Suzuki GSXR1000 against CCGN Champion Victor Cox, who races in the British Championship.
