Hudson Kennaugh was on imperious form in the sixth round of the British Supersport Championship as he swept to a dominant victory at Mallory Park.

With rain arriving before the race to make conditions particularly treacherous, Kennaugh nonetheless seemed very comfortable on the slippery surface, overtaking pole sitter Glen Richards on the first lap and simply romping away.

Finishing with a fastest lap around the short Leicstershire circuit some eight tenths quicker than anyone else, Kennaugh crossed the line an incredible 20secs up on his closest rival for his second win of the season.

"I just had a good start and was able to get away with it,” the South African said. “There were a few moments when I eased off a bit but this is a great result for all at Raceways Yamaha."

Steve Plater was another to rise up the order finishe in second place on AIM Racing Yamaha, thus making it a 1-2 for the Japanese manufacturer, ahead of Ian Lowry in third.

There was disappointment for championship contenders Steve Brogan and Chris Brogan though after they both suffered falls whilst running in contention, not least because Richards was able to coax his Triumph across the line in fourth.
