Tristan Palmer is looking to break into the top ten for the first time in his British Superbike career after a solid start to the season.

Palmer has been quietly consistent on the Tena for Men Honda all season, with the most recent round at Mallory Park delivering his best results of the season with an eighth and ninth place finish.

Now on the cusp of the top ten positions in the overall standings, Palmer has been pleased with his progress so far this season, but is determined to keep on improving to achieve his aim of having a single figure position alongside his name by the end of the season.

“I want get into the top ten overall this year,” he told Crash.net. “We have been really consistent this year and we have been breaking into the top ten more and more.

“It is something I want to do more consistently in order for me to get on the back of the factory guys. The team have put in a lot of effort and the bikes are getting better and better, so I am getting used to riding them now. Hopefully we will keep improving further.”

Palmer made his British Superbike debut in 2005 with Vivaldi before making headlines in 2007 with a dominant victory in the British Superbike Cup with Tena for Men, previously known as Team Howie Racing.
