Looking at things overall, HM Plant Honda are doing a really good job. I wouldn't change anything about my team at the minute – we're all working hard to be winning races. It's a new bike – people forget that – and we're still developing throughout the whole of the year.
I know where Airwaves are gaining a little bit of an advantage, but that's for us to work on and try and catch up. They've got a bit of a disadvantage compared to our bike in a few places too, though. It's a lot down to ‘Shakey' riding fantastically as well; you can't take anything away from him.
Beyond that there's the Suzuka 8 Hours with Moriwaki Honda team. I'm looking forward to that race; it should be good. The 8-Hours is a tiring event, but it fits in perfectly with my schedule and hopefully I can please Honda out there and do Moriwaki Racing proud.
It will be my first time competing in such a long race, but I don't see it being a problem. I've not long come back from testing out there in Japan, and I've been out and done a 300km race before, which was cool; I enjoyed that. We finished eighth with a lot of problems with the bike, so hopefully this time we can go to Suzuka and get a podium.
I'll keep you posted,
Cal
