Leon Camier could be a doubt for the latest round of the Bennetts British Superbike after suffering a heavy fall in qualifying at
Oulton Park.
The
Snetterton winner was chasing a spot at the front of the grid when he took a tumble 15 minutes into the session at the Island bend.
Although Camier made it back to the pit lane soon afterwards, he failed to take part in the remainder of the session after taking a trip to the medical centre to receive a precautionary check.
With Camier unsure as to why his Airwaves Ducati came down on him, team manager Colin Wright will leave it until tomorrow before deciding whether the 21 year-old will be fit enough to take part in the races.
“Leon had been doing a good job so far this weekend and he felt confident going into qualifying. The session started as planned and he was looking to get into a good rhythm but unfortunately he slipped off.
“Physically Leon is OK but he did take a heavy fall and he is unsure as to the reason for the crash. We will assess his condition in the morning and decide if he is fit to race.”
If he does start, Camier will line-up 29th on the grid.
