Rizla Suzuki star Tom Sykes argues he's ready to break his duck in the British Superbike Championship - and once he gets that first win under his belt, he wants more...

“It's an absolutely fantastic event,” enthused the man who is set to make his World Superbike Championship bow in company with fellow Brit Simon Andrews next month at Brands Hatch, scene of his finest BSB finish to-date with the runner-up spot in race one back in May.

“It was my first time there, and I was absolutely gobsmacked. I turned up on the first day, and it was a hundred times more than I had expected it to be. It's absolutely unbelievable; just looking round the place was fantastic.

“It was brilliant; the amount of fans and public that were there was incredible. It was just nice to put on a bit of a show and a few little wheelies, and for people to be able to enjoy themselves in such a relaxed atmosphere.

“There were so many British riders and British drivers there, and it was a brilliant opportunity for the whole public to come and get the best of all worlds.”
