Karl Harris was disappointed not to qualify on the front row of the grid at Oulton Park after leading the way in practice.

Karl Harris admits he was slightly disappointed not to carry his strong practice pace into a better result in qualifying for the latest round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park.

The Rob Mac Racing rider topped both free practice sessions on the Friday, but with stronger winds giving a number of people problems around some of the high-speed turns, Harris was unable to replicate that form.

Nonetheless, Harris remains in contention for victory from fifth on the grid, with the Yamaha rider insisting he has a strong set-up for the races.

“It was alright today,” he told Crash.net Radio. “We were fastest in practice, so it is a bit of a disappointment not to do that again. The times aren't much better than yesterday because the wind is up today and I didn't adapt to it as well as the others today.

“We have a good race package, so I am looking for a podium, I will be happy with that. I am looking forward to it.”
