Stuart Manning, aka Russell Owen, to race in Suzuk GSX-R Trophy at Anglesey.

The forthcoming ACU Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy will get a bit of added star appeal at Anglesey with the announcement that Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning is to enter.

The actor, who plays Russell Owen in the popular Channel 4 soap, is a keen motorcyclist and took the opportunity to accept the invitation after watching the second round of the series in June when it supported the MotoGP British Grand Prix at Donington Park.

With the Anglesey circuit across the border from Liverpool, where Hollyoaks is filmed, Manning was excited about the chance to go racing for the first time.

"I'm really excited about racing in the ACU GSX-R Trophy. I watched the guys race at Donington Park earlier this year, and was impressed by the format and standard of racing, so when Suzuki offered me a ride, I couldn't refuse."
