James Ellison has his sights set firmly on securing his first Bennetts British Superbike win of the season as the series heads back to England for the ninth round at Cadwell Park.
Ellison has been a revelation this season aboard the Hydrex Bike Animal Honda, the former
MotoGP rider moving up to sixth in the BSB standings after a third and fifth place finish last time out at
Knockhill.
Just two points behind Leon Camier in fifth overall, Ellison is now the only rider in the championship to have scored in every single race this season, a status that he would be more satisfied with had he managed to get a win to his name.
Nonetheless, Ellison is targeting just that at Cadwell Park, despite being unable to sort the bike out during a test there earlier this season.
"I like Cadwell Park, we went to test there a couple of months back but we had a problem with the bike so didn't really get to grips with the place. It looks like it's a bit safer than when I was last there four years ago and the Mountain is just awesome so I'm looking forward to that one and just looking for that win which is just so close."
Team-mate Guy Martin, meanwhile, comes to Cadwell having seen his Ulster GP hopes washed out by poor weather. Nonetheless, as his local circuit, Martin is feeling good about his chance this weekend.
"I'm looking forward to Cadwell with it being my local track, but it's got a chicane in it, and I don't like chicanes. I'll just take it as it comes and I'll just enjoy riding my bike and hopefully we can get a good result."
