Michael Rutter brings up the big 300 at Brands Hatch this weekend.

The number on his bike will say 300 this weekend, but Michael Rutter admits he was a bit surprised to learn he has racked up a triple century ahead of the final British Superbike round of the season.

The most experienced BSB rider in the field, Rutter passes the 300 mark at Brands Hatch from eighth position on the grid after a qualifying session that involved a fall but still resulted in a top ten time.

Admitting he wasn't aware of his landmark feat until this weekend, Rutter is surprised how quickly he has managed to reach the milestone.

“I didn't think about think about it until I read it in the news,” he told Crash.net. “It is quite amazing really how it has gone so quickly. If it was the 100th race then I would believe them, but 300… I wouldn't have believed it.

Not that he was entirely happy with his final result, although the North West Ducati rider insists he will be trying his utmost to end the year on a high.

“I'm not really happy because we struggled. We are going to look at the data and see how we can improve. Everyone wants to win the last race, so it will be interesting.”
