Leon Camier brought his first season with Airwaves Ducati to a satisfying climax with a fighting podium finish in the final Bennetts British Superbike race of the season at Brands Hatch.

Camier has been in good form of late, winning at Croft and Silverstone to add to his maiden piece of silverware from Snetterton, although he was only on the cusp of the leaders through practice and qualifying, as well as race one when he finished fifth.

However, changes to the Ducati between the races gave him considerable confidence to shine in the season finale, pulling decent moves on James Ellison, Tom Sykes and Cal Crutchlow to eventually cross the line third.

Ending the season fifth overall with three wins and a total of eight podiums, Camier was delighted to end an important the year on a high.

“I'm absolutely made up with my podium today. I managed to get past quite a few riders, made some good moves and I felt really strong. This is quite a difficult track to master as it can be hard to make up time, even after the smallest of mistakes, but the Airwaves Ducati package was perfect, I can't thank the team enough.”
