I’m not down to do the full year in the BTCC and as for whether that will change – well you’d have to ask Paul at GR Asia. We knew at the start of the season that there were two events that clashed with the WTCC and then that calendar was changed and there became three clashes. We know that is how it is, they were already committed to the WTCC where they won the Independents’ title last season and we come second to that. We know we can only do seven meetings. I’d love to do ten – and if something can happen to make it possible then I’ll happily go along with it – but we understand we are down to do seven and have to get on with it.
Next up we go to Rockingham. I’ve raced there before in Formula Three and I’m looking forward to it. When we did the press day, we didn’t have an engine and were just there to show off the car. Not having
Silverstone on the calendar, this is probably my local race alongside
Donington, but it’s a good venue to have and is fantastic place to go to.
We are using the banked corner and on paper, the Toledo is aerodynamically better than the Leon to deal with this circuit. It will be a quick circuit and if we can make the most of any advantage that we have with the car, then we will do. We want to get some more decent points on the board and another three finishes.
Until then
