We have
Croft, which is my local circuit,
Donington where the car should go well,
Snetterton which I know well and we hope to start to pick up in our performance. We are only four races in and are very new at this and I can’t let my shoulders drop because if they do then the team’s shoulders drop and that is the start of the slippery slope. We have to keep our heads up high.
I have a great team around me and there are still a lot of positives that we can take. We can race the thing now, we have some suspension that we can work with and people in the UK who can help with the set-up of it, and we have a lot of interested parties who want to get involved and who want to see this work - I certainly do. The gearbox is certainly a huge positive and I thought all my birthdays had come at once when I drove that and we have to turn the negatives in positives.
All our testing so far has been done in public so now we can go away and do some work in private and I can assure you that there is no-one working harder than our guys in the garage to get things right. As I keep saying, it is a marathon, not a sprint, and we should get it altogether and come good – then next year we will hopefully be closer to the sharp end of things.
Until next time,
MB
