Former British Touring Car Championship regular David Leslie is believed to be one of the five that perished in a light aircraft crash in Kent on Sunday.
Yet another good guy leaves us. Had the chance to speak to him a few times at Knockhill over the years and he was a really welcoming and fun individual. Always had time for his fans and racing-wise, definitely mixed it with the best of them. RIP David!

Tragic news. BBC news website has 'unofficially' named Leslie and Richard Lloyd as being killed. Not a good period for racers in aircraft, is it? :(
How very sad. Another driver who took so much time for the fans has gone. Chatted with David in the pits at Donnington in 2002 and what a nice chap he was. I am so upset. My wishes to his family.

Very sad. Met him at Knockhill in late 90's, great guy with plenty of time for fans. Enjoyed his commentating on Eurosport also.
I was absolutely shocked by this extremely sad news.
RIP David, Richard, their passenger and the pilots.

When I saw the story I was convinced it would be someone who had been at Brands Hatch that weekend looking at the proximity. I can't believe it inclues David though, who was always my favourite touring car driver. RIP to all.
