BTCC stars to play 'football' on Top Gear.

After the hugely successful debut of people carrier racing last year, some of the leading lights of the BTCC are to make a return to the BBC motoring show Top Gear which is back for a new series later this month.

After the hugely successful debut of people carrier racing last year, some of the leading lights of the BTCC are to make a return to the BBC motoring show Top Gear which is back for a new series later this month.

Current championship leader Dan Eaves and his Team Halfords team-mate Matt Neal were joined by Tom Chilton and former BTCC champion Tim Harvey for a game of five-a-side football for the show, but a game of football with a difference.

Rather than playing on foot, the quartet did battle behind the wheel of Toyota cars and with a four-foot football - the aim being to get the ball into an open goal.

The winners will be unveiled when the programme airs on Sunday 22 May...
