Illness puts BTC Racing driver out of fifth round of BTCC.

Having missed the last rounds of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship at Croft as BTC Racing worked to rid his Lexus IS200 of the technical gremlins to have plagued the car so far this season, illness has now ruled Nick Leason out of this weekend's event at Oulton Park.

Leason had been due to return to the series in Cheshire to put BTC Racing back up to a two car team but a statement issued by the team this morning confirmed that Leason will once again be watching on the sidelines.

"Unfortunately Nick Leason has had to withdraw from the rounds at Oulton Park due to illness," the statement read. "The BTC Racing team wish him well in his recovery and Nick is looking forward to returning to race at the next rounds at Donington Park."

With Eoin Murray also missing this weekend, it means 24 cars will line up for rounds 13, 14 and 15 of the season.
