Mike Jordan had admitted that he is likely to remain at the wheel of his ex-Team Halfords Honda Integra for a third year in 2008.

Jordan currently leads the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship independent standings at the wheel of his Team Eurotech with John Guest Integra, despite a tough weekend last time out at Snetterton where he failed to finish two of the three races to see his lead over Mat Jackson cut to just five points.

“It's been a disaster,” he reflected to Crash.net of the weekends action. “We chased the balance in the car throughout Saturday and found we had a broken diff in it, so that lost most of the day for us. In the first race she wasn't bad but I was quite happy and thought we could go forward.

“I pulled onto the grid for the second race and I was sitting with it ticking over and as I put it into gear, the engine just stopped. I was trying to wave to the marshals to show I had a dead engine before the lights came on and I don't know whether they got one out or not but it coughed back into life with a strange vibration and it didn't feel right behind the Safety Car. As they were calling it in, coming through Coram, she broke the end off the crank. I came back in and we tried to change it but ran out of time for race three.

“We've had five good weekends so you are bound to have a bad one but Snetterton is a circuit I can't stand if I'm being honest. So if ever I was going to have a bad weekend it would be here! We have lost a lot of points this weekend but I love the three circuits still coming up.”

However, Jordan remains upbeat for the races still to come this season, and said he was hoping to remain in the Integra again next season with full confidence that the car can still get the job done.
