BTC Racing's Nick Leason to race Team Parker Porsche in the Carerra Cup at Brands Hatch.

Having seen his British Touring Car season with BTC Racing stall courtesy of consistent reliability problems, Nick Leason will be back on the BTCC support package at Brands Hatch racing in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.

Leason began the season racing a Lexus IS200 with BTC Racing but a myriad of costly reliability problems forced the team down to just one car for Chris Stockton for much of the year.

Nonetheless, Leason will get back into the cockpit for Brands Hatch when he drives the Team Parker Racing Porsche. It is a one-off switch he is hoping will become more of a permanent deal in 2008.

"I want to be out there and the team has given me a good opportunity to race at Brands Hatch," he said. "I'm really looking forward to jumping into a Porsche. It's something different for me and the Carrera Cup is a great series to be in."

"I'll be going straight into the Friday test. But I'm just glad to be out there and this is definitely an option for next year."
