Mike Jordan will aim to regain the kind of form that has seen him be a multiple podium finisher in the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship heads to
Brands Hatch this coming weekend for the eighth round of the year.
Jordan endured a frustrating weekend at
Snetterton in the Team Eurotech with John Guest Honda with a rare mechanical problem forcing him to retire from race two and miss race three altogether, which enabled
Mat Jackson to close to within five points of the Independents' championship lead with just three race meetings remaining.
However, with the crankshaft failure that hit the Integra in Norfolk now fixed, Jordan is confident going into the weekend ahead, with the focus being on returning to the front of the pack to defend his title lead and also chase outright honours.
"Brands is just made for touring cars," he said. "You always look forward to going to Brands and I love racing the car there. You know it's going to be a great crowd.
“We had one bad race at Brands at the start of the year when we got spun out along Bottom Straight, but we should be in good shape next weekend."
