Rookie removed from race one result.

Tom Onslow-Cole has been excluded from the 25th round of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship after an incident involving title hopeful Fabrizio Giovanardi.

The pair made contact on the penultimate lap of the race when the Team RAC rookie tried to go down the inside of the Italian's Vauxhall Vectra into Carlube – with contact sending Giovanardi into a spin that dropped him from third place down to seventh.

However, race officials took a dim view of the move, with Onslow-Cole being removed from the results shortly before the start of the second race of the day.

Onslow-Cole will also start from the back of the field, albeit with his success ballast still on board.
