SEAT man secures second win of the day at Knockhill as Giovanardi closes back in in title race.

Indeed there would be few position changes during the remainder of the race, with the biggest drama coming when the power failed in the press room in the closing stages and sent journalists sprinting for a view of the action.

Despite the best efforts of Turkington to find a way past Turner for the win, the SEAT man held on for a second win of the day, while Giovanardi had to withstand an equal – if not greater – amount of pressure from Shedden to take the final place on the podium. Plato came under pressure from Neal to take sixth place with the defending champion having found a way past the Team Aircool SEAT of Adam Jones. Mike Jordan, Gavin Smith and Mat Jackson rounded out the points scorers – the latter nursing more damage to the rear of his car after contact with John George and having taken the place from Tom Chilton in the closing stages.

In something of a surprise, all 17 starters took the flag, with Chris Stockton unable to compete on race day due to an engine failure.
