Lexus squad confirms participation in 50th anniversary campaign.

BTC Racing has confirmed that it will return to the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship for a second full season during the 50th anniversary season in 2008.

The team, which suffered a myriad of problems with its Lexus IS200 last season, has revealed that Chris Stockton will once again spearhead its challenge while negotiations are ongoing with a second driver to race alongside the former TVR Tuscan ace.

With reliability having been a major problem during 2007, the team recently completed a 60-lap trouble free test session at Snetterton and Stockton said he was looking for a more competitive campaign in the coming year.

"We are really excited at being a part of the 2008 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship,” he said. “The team is anticipating increased competativeness in the forthcoming season."
