Lexus squad continues planning for new campaign.

Despite not currently being entered into the series for the season ahead, Xero Competition has hit the track for the first time this year with the car it hopes to use in the 2008 HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship.

The team, which sat out the entire 2007 campaign to work on improving its Lexus IS200, plans to run two cars during the coming season with a test at local circuit Oulton Park marking the first outing for one of the cars in the colour scheme it will carry once the team joins the grid.

The team's second car is set to carry a different livery with drivers to be announced in due course.

It remains to be seen when the cars, which were driven by Adam Jones – now with Team Aircool – and Mark Jones back in 2006, will join the field.
