Final preparations for the opening round of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship are now fully underway for Team Aircool after the team's new SEAT Leon was delivered on time to
Brands Hatch.
The team faced late drama when it was unable to drive its transporter through France over the Easter weekend to collect the car from SEAT Sport in Barcelona, leaving the team to instead send a pick-up and trailer to pick up the car that Adam Jones will use for the 2008 season.
The Leon has now been arrived at Brands Hatch where teams are starting to set-up for the first meeting of the year, with GR Asia set to now work on the Leon throughout Friday before Jones hits the track for the first time in Saturday's opening practice session.
It has been a stressful few days for all of the team wondering as to whether we would make it in time for the first meeting of the season and especially for Tony who has driven over 2000 miles to collect the car, team manager Graham Davis said. The car is now safely in its garage at Brands Hatch where Paul and the team are carrying out the set-up work for Brands Hatch and Friday should see the work completed.
