Jason Plato has been given reason to celebrate before even getting to Donington Park for the third round of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship after becoming a father for the first time.

The SEAT Sport UK driver's wife Sophie gave birth to a daughter – weighing 6lb 8oz – on Monday morning, with the couple having named their first child Alena.
