Motorbase Performance team boss David Bartrum insists there is plenty more to come from the
BMW squad as the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship heads to
Donington Park this weekend for the third round of the year.
The team has enjoyed a solid start to the life with its new cars despite a difficult start to the season at
Brands Hatch where both Steven Kane and Rob Collard were involved in accidents during the second race of the weekend – with Kane being forced to miss race three as a result,
However, both drivers took a hat-trick of finishes last time out at Rockingham despite tricky conditions with Collard scoring his first points of the season in the final race of the weekend.
"Rob was catching the others at the end of the third race and I think he has turned a corner with the car," Bartrum said. "He's certainly shown the racer that he is."
"I was happy with the Rockingham weekend because we pushed forwards a bit further. But I certainly don't feel that we've achieved what we can just yet."
