BMW man hits out after Donington incident.

"We talked about it and we didn't need to be in the gravel so I was saying to him 'Why Tom? This doesn't need to happen mate'. We didn't need to be there and it was a totally optional incident. He chose the wrong option.

"The conditions were dry then but as the day went on, it rained ahead of race two and it wasn't dry tyres for the BMW and it wasn't wet tyres for the BMW. There was a huge lack of grip and we struggled but I'm sure we can bounce back and have a fantastic car that can be right up there."

Jackson now heads to Thruxton, where he won the final race of the 2007 campaign, looking to get his challenge back on track and he said he was hopeful that he could repeat his winning form.

"We can bounce back from it and we need to bang some good results in," he said. "We need to be up there in race one and race two and we can go to Thruxton and get the results. We just need to find some consistency."
