The behind-the-scenes series following John Guest Racing pair Mike and Andrew Jordan has been extended to ten shows.
'Everyday is Raceday', the latest edition of which will air on
Sky Sports Extra tonight, follows the first father and son team in the history of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship and was due to run through eight half-hour programmes over the course of the season.
However, following positive audience feedback, the decision has now been taken to extend the series by two shows, which will air once the season has drawn to a close.
"It is great news that
Sky Sports has been happy enough to sanction further episodes," producer Caroline Samuels said. "We are really pleased with the reaction from the public and we are looking forward to having more airtime to show the team in action."
Mike Jordan was equally pleased with the news that the show has been extended beyond its planned run.
"We never expected that the series could be extended, nor that the reaction from the audience would be so positive," he said. "It is hugely flattering to think that there is so much interest in what we are doing and we're delighted to have such a following for 'Everyday is Raceday' already."
