Jason Plato completed a dominant two-day test for the SEAT Sport UK team at Snetterton by pacing the second day of running at the Norfolk venue.

The 2001 champion, who set the quickest time on Tuesday, was quickest in both three hour sessions on Wednesday and set his fastest lap time during the afternoon – making him the only man to break the 1min 12sec barrier with a lap of 1min 11.730secs.

Once again it was Plato's team-mate Darren Turner, the only other man to lead the way during a session over the course of the two days, who was second fastest although his best time was some four tenths of a second behind, while Colin Turkington completed the top three – three-tenths of a second further back.

Andrew Jordan took fourth in his Honda Integra ahead of Adam Jones, who was third quickest during the morning but ended up being one of just two drivers not to improve their time in the afternoon.

Behind the Aircool Leon, Mat Jackson was sixth quickest, with Mike Jordan, Rob Collard, Stephen Jelley and Steven Kane completing the top ten. Harry Vaulkhard ended his second day at the lone Robertshaw Lacetti with the eleventh quickest time.

VX Racing and Team Halfords both headed home after taking part in the opening day of the day test, with Arkas Racing, TH Motorsport and InTune Racing heading to Norfolk for day two.

Micky Doyle ended up quickest of the ‘new-comers' with the twelfth fastest time despite completing only limited running during the morning in his newly re-shelled Honda Civic Type-R, while John George was 13th, just edging out Martyn Bell's Vauxhall Astra. Bell's team-mate Erkut Kizilirmak was 15th quickest.
