“As CARA Charities celebrates its 25th anniversary we are proud to continue our mission to serve the auto racing community through charitable work and to promote the friendship of all in the motor sports family,” Mary Lou Bogner, executive director of CARA Charities said. “These two events will raise money to help Cristiano with his recovery efforts and will be lots of fun for the fans. The entire Champ Car community has come together to make this possible.”
Tickets for the Friday event, which runs from 6:00 – 8:30 p.m., are available for $50 and can be purchased via phone at 317-299-2277 or by visiting
www.caracharities.org. Passes to Saturday's bicycle event are available for a $20 donation. The track will open to the riders at 6:15 p.m. and will remain open until 7:15, while the local chapter of the Lance Armstrong Livestrong Foundation will have a limited number of bicycles on-hand to rent as well. Fans can sign up for the CARA Cruise for Cristiano and buy tickets for Friday's tailgate party at the CARA Charities tent in the paddock of Road America.
“RuSPORT would like to thank CARA Charities for their support of Cristiano da Matta and his family,” team president Jeremy Dale said. “We believe these events during the race weekend at Road America will provide significant assistance to Cristiano and his family as they help Cristiano through his recovery process, and we're very pleased that we can be a part of it, and we are also very pleased that race fans and the racing community can be a part of it.”
