We all had to leave the start line at staggered times so we would arrive at the finish line together, and that’s bearing in mind the
Formula 1 car was making a pit-stop along the way. It took us a few takes to get the finishing shot perfect, but it was really nice to meet Fernando. He was a very nice guy and so enthusiastic about the DTM car, which was really cool. The first thing he said to me was ‘I spoke with Ron Dennis and he spoke to Norbert, who said I could have a go in the DTM car’. He was asking all about driving in the DTM. I think a lot of Formula 1 drivers have seen Mika racing in the championship and because of that are very interested in testing the car and seeing what it’s all about.
I’ll keep you posted as to how I get on at Lausitz!
