Carroll Service: Home from home.

If someone had said to me this time last year that in 2007 my home race would have been at Brands Hatch in a DTM car I don’t think that I would have believed them.

Of course driving a 2005-spec car for Team Futurecom-TME means that it’s likely the latest 2007 & last year’s spec Audi A4DTMs could have the edge but everyone in the crowd can rest assured I’ll be giving it my best shot – as always.

At least the top-15 qualifiers, possibly all 20 cars, are likely to be within one second of each other so it’s incredibly tight and the race, featuring two compulsory pit-stops for tyres, will be the same.

Although it is a home race, I don’t really treat it differently to any other. For me a race is a race and I treat them all with the same approach and respect. But some things will be different - there will be more support and people I know. Hopefully I will see you there at the weekend.
