“Mugello is a beautiful circuit,” the 27-year-old stated. “I think our A4 suits the circuit a little better than the previous tracks. I hope things will run a little more smoothly for the guys in the team than they have recently, and that we fulfil our promise.”

Prémat, for his part, has only three points to his name from the first five races, but that is to disguise a generally impressive debut to his DTM career that has seen the ex-GP2 ace twice qualify inside the top six on the starting grid.

“I'm already looking forward to Mugello,” the Frenchman asserted. “We had a good test there and our car is nicely light now, which should play to our advantage around this circuit. I'm a big fan of fast tracks, which is why I'm hoping for a good result. After claiming two consecutive points-scoring finishes I'd really like to get as many points as possible in Italy.”
