ALEXANDRE PREMAT of France was the Spyker third driver Friday in the wet practice. His experience includes winning the Macau F3 GP and Masters of Zandvoort, and he was part of the championship-winning A1GP Team France.
For the next two seasons,
Renault will supply
Formula One engines to
Red Bull GmbH. Red Bull currently has two
F1 teams, and it will announce later which of the two, Red Bull Racing or Scuderia Toro Rosa, will get the Renault engines.
MARK PRESTON is the new
Super Aguri F1 technical director. He will be a busy man. He will handle his new duties at the track with the British-based team, while continuing to manage the design and research, and development departments. Several other in-house promotions and departmental changes were made.
At the end of this season, OLIVIER PANIS is retiring from Formula One racing, after his current Toyota test driver contract expires. This puts an end to a 12-year run. Last year, Panis was the team's third driver and, before that, he was one of the team's F1 drivers for two years. He won the 1996 Monaco Grand Prix while racing for Ligier.
Currently, RICARDO ZONTA of Brazil is
Toyota's third driver. The team is expecting to sign FRANCK MONTAGNY as third and test driver.
