Although, like Button, in a supporting role in the midst of ‘Hamilton-mania’, Coulthard will be chasing more points in Britain but after a French Grand Prix spent largely in the shadows on the way to a spot outside the top ten,
Red Bull know they need to raise their game again.
Still, with the point’s positions becoming increasingly crowded as teams such as
Renault,
Toyota,
Williams and
Honda dispute the vital places, both Coulthard and
Mark Webber are likely to have a job coming out on top.
Williams – Nico Rosberg (#16), Alex Wurz (#17):
Although there were no points, Nico Rosberg produced another strong performance in France, his strategy ultimately seeing him lose out to the alternative method adopted by
Jenson Button as the race wore on.
Nonetheless, with more murmurs of Rosberg’s future being muttered as he continues to bother the points paying positions behind the top three teams, the German is going from strength to strength and it is something he is keen to continue at
Silverstone.
A historic circuit for the Williams team, Rosberg is anticipating another point’s finish, not least because of a strong performance for the squad in the Silverstone test prior to Magny-Cours.
“Silverstone is a great track, I really enjoy driving it and our car should go well there. We had a productive test there before France, so we should have a good chance of scoring points this weekend. In addition, it's always a good race because it's the team's home GP.
“There's a lot of history for us at Silverstone, having taken our first ever win back in 1979, so it also holds a lot of good memories. And I hope the atmosphere will be fantastic due to Lewis.”
