Preview - Bahrain Grand Prix 2008.

Thursday, 3rd April 2008

Crash.net looks ahead to round three of the 2008 Formula 1 season at the Bahrain International Circuit at Sakhir in Bahrain.

Force India’s Giancarlo Fisichella has stated his determination to make it a case of 'third time lucky' and break into Q2 in Bahrain, having come agonisingly close in both of the first two races and displayed strong top ten pace during practice, whilst team-mate Adrian Sutil will likely be pleased merely to cross the finish line, after completing fewer than 15 racing laps this year so far.

Super Aguri, finally, are once more expected to bring up the rear of the field – the legacy of a chronic lack of winter testing following the plucky Japanese minnows’ winter of discontent, characterised by severe financial woes and crisis talks with parent company Honda. With the Leafield-based outfit’s future – in the short-term at least – now seemingly a little more secure, it remains to be seen what can be done to drag Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson away from the back of the grid. Both undeniably deserve much, much better.
