Press Snoop: BAR's Button's back with pole.

JENSON BUTTON/BAR has the pole for the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal with a time of 1m 15.217s. It was his second F1 pole position, and his first this year.

Speed is running the new GP2 Series which runs with the European Formula One Grands Prix races. He runs with the iSport International team, and is currently second in the points' standings. The 22-year old comes from San Jose CA, site of the inaugural Taylor Woodward San Jose Grand Prix - a Champ Car race.


One of Speed's longtime race buddies, A.J. ALLMENDINGER, also hails from SJ and has also been through the Red Bull F1 Search programme. Allmendinger was 2005 Champ Car Rookie of the Year. Last weekend at The Milwaukee Mile Champ Car race, he started and finished second. Allmendinger has experience 'racing' the streets of San Jose already, and says that this July, for the first time, he'll be doing it legally.


Sunday's Canadian Grand Prix will start at 2pm local time and be broadcast in the United States on CBS with rebroadcasts on SPEED TV.
