MICHAEL SCHUMACHER is on pole for the United States Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway with a lap of 1min 10.632secs.

IMS runs a counter-course configuration for the F1 race, opposite of the direction run for the Indy 500 and the Brickyard 400 Cup race.

Friday, the paddock was distracted with the Germany versus Argentina World Cup soccer. Saturday it was England versus Portugal and Brazil versus France.
