Former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan has warned Lewis Hamilton not to let his ongoing dispute with team-mate Fernando Alonso become political, with the possibility that such a move could ostracise him from the McLaren team.
Estoy totalmente de acuerdo con Mansell y Jordan. I agree with Mansell and Jordan

yep, he should be careful as many interviews can be taken out of context. he is a talented driver and should be world champion this year or sometimes soon.

Lewis has already proved that he's a very mature and calculated individual, the only gaff he's made is stating that he would be happy to drive for McLaren for the rest of his F1 career, now that really will be humble pie when he leaves for Ferrari in 2009!!!

I think both Lewis and alonso shud be thrown out of Mclaren. Coz the way the car is feeling rite now --> even my mom can win races on it ..

Politics have always played a big role in F1, Mansell/Piquet is a prime example. In fact Williams lost Honda engines because Mansell wouldn't play second fiddle. Then Prost/Senna at McLaren. Alonso knew before he signed for McLaren that they had an equal driver policy. What he didn't realise is, that a young rookie would be capable of beating him. Now the Prima Dona is complaining.
As a side issue, the events in Hungary apparently started after Lewis ignored a "team order" to slow down and let Alonso pass. I thought that since the debacle when Barrichello was ordered to slow down and let Micheal Schumacher win, the the FIA banned team orders.
Don't be surprised if Lewis announces to switch to some other team if they have a better car than McLaren after a year maybe (not sure about next season) .. Now that we know, he is a very tricky person; not what he looks like from the outside ..
I think Lewis was quite cynical with his sub Tony Blair / Princess Diana tear jerker of an interview with ITV. I'm talking about his reference to the film Cool Runnings where the underdog Jamican bobsleigh team learns to 'rise above it'. Knowing what we now know about his actions in winding Alonso up this all seems rather nauseating wouldn't you say?

Rubbish proposal!

First, tell your Narain Kartikeyan to win a Race!!!

If it comes down to the wire for the constructors points, I think Lewis will have lost it in Hungary with his comments about the team or Alonso hindering him. A McLaren 1-2 finish was very much on the cards, but to complain to the media, which then gets Fernando thrown off the front row, and constructors points for that round stripped, is not how you win friends in a new team, especially a team that is giving a rookie a massive opportunity to really stamp his pressence on the sport for the future. Lewis needs to learn to keep internal poitics, internal, and by keeping his mouth shut. Regardless of how two drivers feel about each other, the team should always be the drivers number one priory.

First for Mr Sukhoi. Narain Kartikeyan never had a car that could win races. His career outside of F1 has been great. His achievements to come from a country without any racing history is astounding. Lets not talk when you dont know what it is about.
I think its primarily the team boss who hasnt handled the situation well at McLaren. There are bound to be issues when two drivers are so competitive, so he should have been prepared for it.

He tried out all his options, that's what he got for his talent...isn't it?
> His career outside of F1 has been great.
You mean A1 circuits?
> His achievements to come from a country without > any racing history is astounding.
Yes, but that's nothing logical (what happened to country's biggest sport? They were knocked out early!!).
> Lets not talk when you dont know what it is about.
This is typical Indian style - brand others quickly! Did you watch Senna-Prost rivalry live? Well, I did & met Senna too! It was the same McLaren team.
Have they thrown out Senna & Prost? Would any team throw them??

I am surprised at how many people who read the Crash.net site, read it only for what they want to get out of it. Hungarian GP, Q3. Lewis went out and disobeyed the system the team had set up to get the cars to the end of qualifying with the best chance. He did an extra fuel burning lap to what he was told to do. He should have been in for his final tyres before Alonso, but got hinself out of synch with the system, and came in behind Alonso, who was held to get him in the best position to do his final lap.Now who was wrong, The 2 times World Champion, or the Rookie who disobeyed team orders??????? Also ask yourselves why so many seasoned veterans said the crime did not fit the punishment.

I agree with Ray Watson how the version of events came about in Hungary, and then both drivers decided to wind each other up, its the Mclaren team i feel sorry for in all this and the abuse Ron Dennis got from Hamilton was on forgivable. I was one of the lucky few that stood at Maggots and Becketts (Silverstone) last year and seen Hamilton go three a breast there in the GP2 race, it was mega and I was looking forward to seeing him in f1 this year. But now i think "You little Sh*t". voiceing all his concerns to the media and putting on the happy smiley face in Interviews, He Said in the Steve Rider Interview that he felt it was his right to Ignore a team Instruction. The problem is that in the british f1 media they would not dare say anything against hamilton watching itv coverage they're always sucking up to him. He's very good and probably will win the championship this year (and deserves to) but I feel that any comments from the british media are not objective. It's refreshing for someone to come out and warn him that he is not faultless.

Oh come on. How many drivers have ignored team orders. You are acting like Lewis is the first one to have done it ever!!. Carl, every country's media that has got an F1 driver is one eyed about it. They know if they talk about their country's driver in a positive light they will shift papers.
Would I throw Alonso and Hamilton out!!. WOULD I CObblers. I have would havr to be mad to do it. Because I know that I have got the two fastest drivers on the grid in the best car on the grid. And if I was team principal at McLaren. My instructions would be race to the flag but don't take each other out.
P.S Welcome to the Pirhana Club Lewis, I think was Eddie Jordan's message.
