Having broken practically every rookie record going during the course of his remarkable maiden season in Formula 1, Lewis Hamilton has insisted he would now dearly love to be able to compare himself against the sport's all-time record-breaker – Michael Schumacher.
Hamilton in a Mclaren would not stand a chance against Michael in a Ferrari.
Keep in mind that Mclaren have now admitted to using Ferrari data to develope the 2007 and 2008 mclaren car. So a Schumacher + Ferrari combination would simply out class a Hamilton + Mclaren team.
Hamilton needs to race in a legitimate race car before one can decide if he has any real talent.

Schumacher would be a odds-on for the title next year simply because of his experience in non-TC cars. With his recent performances in testing I had hoped he would have a chance to try again but I also think it is good that he stepped down in order to give the younger talent a go in F1.
He is one of the best no matter what you think of his on-track "determination" and I have often though he was in the sport 10 years too late.

Hamilton wouldn't stand a chance against the guile and sheer skill of Michael, Lewis might have shone this year but a talent such as Schumacher would wipe the floor with Hamilton.
I really wish Hamilton would just shut up and piss off somewhere, Switzerland springs to mind.
Does he not realise that he's not as popular as he and his manipulating father think he is, BBC Sports personality voting should have given him a clue, shut up and wise up Lewis!

Red Dragon: So LH had no talent before coming to F1. What planet do you live on?

Oh god - Hamilton. He isn't the worst driver, but he had the best car on the tarmac. He hasn't got any experience, nor any medals. And now he is going crazy with his "bring them on, i'll beat everybody... i am the king of the world" bla-bla... Raikkonen, plz shut him up next season.!

It's not always best to glory in your ignorance.
Have you thought that making an interesting, intelligent comment with well formed arguments might be a better aspiration than merely posting bigotary mixed with bile?

I'm sure LH doesn't have the win at ANY cost mentality of MS. Maybe that's a good thing.

It's ok if Loser Hamilchoke loses to Shumi. He(Hamilton) will probably have lined-up a number of excuses like:
"i immensely enjoyed my sophomore year" "i am still young so i will have time on my side to try to beat others"
And he will probably pick up some more consolation awards from the British press at the end of the year too.
"Bring it on!" <------- He'll probably be sorry he uttered these, but then again he wasn't sorry for losing 17 points in 2 races so he's going to have to come up with more excuses.

Perhaps we will get to see these two go at it in the ROC next year?
Then we will see
1) Hamilton is bloody talented 2) Micheal is a better driver 3) In equal cars, they will be very close!!
I would love that!

Typical responses of personal attacks and name calling from people who blindly follow mclaren.
FACT: Lewis Hamilton drove an illegitimate race car in 2007. The mclaren car was developed by copying Ferrari data. So in other words, there is NO way Hamilton would have won races if there was no Ferrari data in the Mclaren car!
In my opinion Lewis Hamilton is completely over rated and mid pack at best!
Michael Schumacher would make Hamilton's pace look pedestrian. In a full race, Michael Schumacher would lap Hamilton a couple of times before Hamilton presses the nuetral button or parks the car in the gravel trap!
Heck even KIMI lapped Hamilton in Brasil!

If schuey came back he would of course be instantly one of the favourites to win the title.
He would surely show lewiss the way, last year lewiss was in the best car I would say untill about 4 races from the end when Ferrari realy did pick up the pace & finished easily the best car on the grid.
One thing that will test Lewiss is when he drives a car that's not as competitive as last years Mclaren.
Bring back the real champ & hey schumacher knows how to win races & does take risk's but ya don't win anything without pushing & taking a chance & racers have it in therei blood well proper racers anyway.
Micheal wasn't really wiping the floor with Lewis when they test TOGETHER earlier this month when Lewis beat him. People let their fanboyism get in the way of everything. He beat the 2 time World Champion in the same car. It doesn't get more fair than that. By the way, the 2 time World Champion beat Schumacher in an inferior vehicle. TWICE in a row. Yeah, that Lewis sure is a horrible driver. A fairer comparison is Micheal in is prime vs Lewis today.

Any top class driver worth their salt thinks they are capable of beating any other driver. - If not, they are in the wrong job.
I never got to drive F1, but I had quite a few years in other formulae, and always relished driving against a proven winner.
In any type of competition you can only develop and improve by competing against someone better.
LH has already proved his skill in GP2, and by anyones standards, has put in some great performances in F1. Sure he made mistakes. Take your rose tinted specs off and look at the number of mistakes Schumi has made over the ye****
@ Nigel Tasker - I think what you mean that in the last 4 races of the season mclaren were not able to use the Ferrari data they had obtained to improve the mclaren racer.
Lewis Hamilton's 2007 achievements are worth nothing because the Mclaren race car was not legitimate. Mclaren have acppected this and apologized about this to everyone.
@George - We are talking about Lewis not about Alosno. Time recorded in Testing mean nothing.
@ Don Woodrow - With all due respect to your years of racing there is a BIG DIFFERENCE between GP2 and Formula 1. In a GP2 car who knows what the result would be!
In a formula 1 car Michael Schumacher would make Lewis look like a toddler on a tricycle!

MS has to prove nothing to anyone, period! He had a mediocre car with Benetton, developed it and won 2 world titles. When he arrived at Ferrari it was the same story and they hadn't won since Jody in 79 and put a spetacular team together and again developed the best series of F1 cars in history and won another 7 titles. When LH does the same then, and only then will he be comparable material against MS...END OF STORY!! Yes, LH is an excelent driver but he stillneeds to win his first championship... one step at a time. And, I want to see him in a team like Toyota and do the same MS did with Ferrari and Benetton AND win 7 championships...80+ races, etc etc, then he MIGHT be comparable,,,
