Alonso not believing the hype.

Alonso not believing the hype.

Renault returnee wants proof of gains 'in the flesh'.

15 people agree.  25 people disagree.

Obviously, Renault is due to officially unveil the R28 at end of January and McLaren has yet to announce a launch date.

Renault know how to build a car from scratch and test it wouth the data of other teams.

Mclaren on the other hand only know how to COPY designs. It is hard to develop anything new when all you have done in the past is copy! Don't even try to defend Mclaren because they have already admitted that they are guilty of cheating!

Good Alonso is back at Renault. He just wants real proof and not simulated results!

HENRY!

i have just looked at 3 F1 topics, read the comments and i see quite a pattern forming...

"What the FIA really need to look into is race drivers like Hamilton blocking other racers during qualifying on purpose!"

"Well now that Vodafone has EGG on their face for supporting an immoral Mclaren team"

"Mclaren on the other hand only know how to COPY designs"

all posted by u i believe, i read the 1st one first and thought fair enough he has his opinion. but by the third, well.

ok, so mclaren were found guilty for spying wether that is right or not im not 2 say. but they paid for it. so can we PLEASE move on, i dont need to read how much some ppl hate them everytime im here

you missed the..

"Lets hope they are able to keep their data safe from Mclaren." re the Red Bull launch date..

I suppose some people just get a kick out of stirring rather than being constructive.

Al, i don't even think it's that. My guess: mental retardation.

Here's a message to all these dullards that continue to slate McLaren for something that was never even proved - CHANGE THE RECORD.

Read the transcripts, then tell me there's anything more that circumstantial evidence that McLaren used Ferrari design.

For Mr. Kipling,

The entire list of technology or parts that mclaren copied and stole from Ferrari are present in the final FIA findings on Mclaren.

Mclaren have ALREADY ADMITTED TO BEING GUILTY!

So are you calling them Liars again by defending them?

------

Further more,

"The most important thing is that, with the documentation they had in their (Mclaren) hands, they had the demonstration of the usefulness of these mechanical solutions.

"Therefore they (Mclaren) were able to push to have them in the car as soon as possible. That's the grave matter."

- Aldo Costa (Ferrari)

For Mr Henry,

We all know Mclaren "ADMITTED TO BEING GUILTY"What's your point in screaming it out?
In 2005 Mclaren had the fastest car reliability stoped them from winning both titles, Wich team did they copy at that time??
during the late 80's they dominated...
Even though in recent times there record has been hit or miss, you trying to make it sound as if Mclaren doesn't know how to build race cars just makes you look like a total idiot.

Paul,

So why have Mclaren not announced an official launch date YET?

Why are Mclaren waiting?

Looks clear that they are still searching for someone to give them designs on documentation of another race car!

Yes, why is Mclaren even being talked about? This is a Renault/Alonso story isn't it? Think some people need to let certain things go...for their own sanity.

Only when the cars are on track and testing will anyone see how fast, or not, they are. Even then it can be misleading.

for crying out loud mclaren/ferrari hamilton/alonso when will it end? at the end of the day this is about renault telling alonso the car seems to be 1.6 sec quicker, well looking at last years car doesn't 1.6 sec a lap bring it upto last years rivals pace, the rivals cars will have moved the goalpost so i think mr alonso needs to hope the reggie get a little more speed than they claim to have......

This topic is about Renault and Alonso and should remain so but let's not forget that Renault admitted to having McLaren information on their computers and were subsequently found guilty of same - albeit without any penalty being imposed. Armed with such information, is it not surprising that the Renault 2008 car is suddenly much improved on last year's car? I would just like to add that if the McLaren 2007 car was copied from someone else, our great Alonso mustn't have had much of an input otherwise he would have been able to hone the car to perfection which clearly he did not or could not do! Ferrari only won the championship by default - they clearly lost out on engineering competence.

Well McLaren have already announced that they're not having an official launch, instead opting to just go straight into testing I believe. So..uhh..unlucky.

James H Thank you for the update...

Looks like Mclaren are too ashamed to hold an official launch.

Luca di Montezemolo, the Ferrari and Fiat president, is absolutely right when he said, "I'm convinced that at least the colours of the Ferrari and McLaren 2008 cars will be different. I don't expect a red McLaren".

------------

Alonso is doing well to demand hard on track proof that the Renault race car is quicker.

Let us all hope we see clean racing in 2008 where deserving teams like Ferrari and Renault are not hindered by unethical practices of the mclaren!

The typical last resort of all mclaren fans.

Personal Attacks with use of profanity because Mclaren fans have nothing left to defend with.

Very representative of the unethical Mclaren team they support!

To henry E.

While you spend countless hours proudly putting down a successful F1 team, I'll be having sex with my girlfriend, and then going on holiday to New York. Let's hope for an entertaining F1 season in 2008! That is all.

Just to let the newcomers know that if there see the same drivel posted on each topic slaagging off mclaren it is posted by HENRY the hoover today but he will change his name again later just so people read his post. If you come across someone posting a load of fictional mclaren crap it will be him. I am sorry i did know him as he worked at mclaren (he used to clean lewis and alonso toilets) until they had to sack him because he was talking more st1tt than he was cleaning. He is mentally retarded but is seeking help from todd the toad hence the fact he is supporting ferrari. Toad has told him he will put in a good word with max to see if they need a toilet cleaner at the FIA.
