Button: This is a championship-winning team.

Sort Comments:

Button: This is a title-winning team.

Jenson Button is convinced that with Ross Brawn now on-board as team principal and the passion and drive to succeed burning stronger than ever before, Honda will be genuine contenders for the Formula 1 World Championship within the next two years.

They need better drivers.

I think Jensons smooth driving style will suit the lack of traction control. He's a great driver and all he needs is the tools to do the job. Brawn is a major coup for Honda as well and i'm sure his influence will have a lot do do with Honda and hopefully Jenson being more successful

I think Jens has been driving slow cars for too long now and it has dulled his on the limit speed. He'll never fight for the championship i recon

They need to go humbly and take things quietly - "this is a chship winning team" ... Brawn probably doesnt like this kind of statement

Fair comment chu chu but you know how these things go...can't help themselves and tbh Jenson is probably so relieved to have someone like Brawn in the team he can't help voice his excitement. After last year especially!

I thought you had to win a championship to be a "championship winning team".

Harakiri is the ceremoniuos committing of suicide when a high Japanes official fails. Most probably if Toyota and Honda will not come up to their principals' expectation this year, they might already be on a KAMIKAZI flight.

Jenson, Rubens and Trulli are all getting on. Timo might be able to do something if his package is up to standard.

Here is another person I am a huge fan of in motorsport apart from James Toseland and that man is Jenson Button. His year last year was one of the worse I have witnessed seeing of from Jenson. He was in so much stress because the car wasn't up to strach and also he didn't have the best package. I have a good feeling that he will have a good chance on getting up to the front. I wish him all the best for testing in Valencia this week. Go Jenson.

Reno, what century do you live in? Just drop this harakiri/kamikaze thing already it's not like they still do it. You're like a child that just learnt some new words. Btw it's kamikaze not kamikazi.

too early to call it a champ winning team ... after all after several years they only had one gp win ... never believe in sudden changes

Every year Button says "this will be my year - the team is better etc" and every year nothing changes and Honda struggle. This year will be no exception, yes Brawn coming in will be good for Honda, but he hasn't had enough time to really change things. I see another year of medicority....

Good morning KS. Thank you for correcting my spelling. I'm sure that your post contributed greatly to the subject of this feature. Keep up the good work of being insolent to other contributors. Those words were used in connection with the two Japanese teams to add a bit of flavour. Others are also using them in other posts after I did. So if you do not like what I write then don't waste your time reading it. Have a nice day.

Honda has a line up that could truly be a force to reckon with. I for one would like to see them back up in the front. Honda has a long history in F1, I have no problem seeing them recover from their problems.

Reno, I think it was in the Toyota article that you were also being very proud of using the new foreign words you just learnt. I find your "added flavour" distasteful and bordering on racism.

As for others using the word, it's Chu... Doesn't that say something to you?

In support of KS and what he/she is trying to say. Not trying to start a fight Reno but your attempt to add "flavour" as you call it is incredibly insulting to the Japanese AND it's racist. Chu should also be more careful with the terminology.
I think you need to read the terms and conditions of posting on here and you'll see you are breaking them. As for not reading what we don't like....how on earth are you supposed to know if you like it if you haven't read it? Answers on a postcard please.
I'm all for banter and argument but let's leave the rest out of it huh?
