FIA president Max Mosley has warned that any repeat of the spying saga that dominated the 2007 Formula 1 season is likely to lead to exclusions from the sport.
Why does my skin start to crawl when I read this man's words????

What s the fuss about? Someone cheated, got caught, and must pay. And yes, if they shamelessly cheat again like they did, they should get kicked out for a while.
Hey Frank, Has it not occurred to you that he was answering a question? What was he supposed to say? 'Oh sorry mr journalist but Frank G and all the other British McLaren fans want to no longer reminded of how their team cheated and got justly punished. So I'm afraid I'll have to say no comment.'
Any true fan of F1 will, nay, should NEVER forget how wrong McLaren acted. They deserve to be reminded, to make sure they never do it again. And McLaren fans deserve to be reminded if they are willing to just forget it happened. I used to be a McLaren fan not any more though.
Try as the British media might, the issue will not be glossed over for a lot of people and made to look less than it was.

Henry i mean Adam get a life and move on. He is just trying to get some sort of order over what all the teams have been doing all the time.

I think the bit that grabbed my attention was the "You can never stop what someone has got in his head, but we can stop the transfer of information in written or electronic form," line, its goes to show that there is still a way that an ex employee can influence their new employer's car by steering the design team in a certin direction with out the need for a paper/electronic trail to be left.
Also I think that MM was making the threat and reminding the teams and their employees of the possible ramifications if they are found to be blatenley cheating.
Mosley says next team to cheat will get booted out ......
Unless of course you are the most important team in F1 and then don't worry. (wink wink nudge nudge say no more say no more).
I've had enough of this guy and his overinflated ego. He makes me think of Fogerty, everytime you think you heard the last of him he has to remind you how much you dislike him. ;)

I hope they also will be excluded from const champ and fined.
otherwise, would you accept a team principal post at ferrarri now that Todt is on d way to FIA??

So, next year Ferrari get caught cheating. Expelled? Never.

I think if you polled all of the F1 fans around the world who the most important team is, Ferrari would win. The FIA and F1 would be shooting themselves in the foot if they were ever to exclude Ferrari.
I think everyone has learned from Mclarens mistakes what not to do (i.e. lie to the governing body). They need to handle it like Renault and they will survive.

In any industry where development is a priority there is always head hunting of executives, engineers, designers, and other professionals. Stopping transfer of technology from one company to the next is well nigh impossible because such people normally carry lots of info, ideas and knowledge in their head. Industrial espionage comes into the equation when printed, recorded or digital info is passed from one company to the other, or from an individual to another for personal gain. Executives are head hunted and given the earth as remuneration and benefits for what they know and for what they would bring with them in their head. Designs might be different but component ideas are the same.

Adam, what made you assume I am a McLaren fan? Just because I said enough is enough? Just for your information, I am a fanatic FERRARI fan... And by tje way... if Mosley was answering a question I think it would have been polite of him to say just that... "enough is enough, let's move on", how difficult is that?
Let us just hope that Mclaren have read the rules this year. It was a real shame the way Mclaren lied and lied about spying.
Then mclaren accepted that they were guilty. Who knows how many championships mclaren has won by cheating!

Mosely's father was a Nazi supporter and founder of the 'British Union Of Fascists'. It's strange he never mentions this.
Look up: Oswald Mosley - he even does the Hitler salute & goose step. How would a childs mind alter watching this?
I note he fails to mention RENAULT who were caught CHEATING FAR WORSE THAN MCLAREN.
I note he fails to mention that FERRARI have won races in the pit lane, have had the rules for tyres changed mid-season to suit them, and have been linked to the barge boards scandal, and many other illict behaviours it's not even funny.
Mosely is infused with HATE, like his father.
Get him out now, bring back some impartial control - not dictators.

In motorsport there are no patents allowing a team to protect their ideas. So once a legal, new idea is used and seen on the track everyone can use that idea by designing their own version of it. So, there is a huge difference but also a fine line between espionage/spying and re-use of ideas that have already been adopted by the original designers.
Getting caught with 780 pages of confidential info most of which had not been used is espionage and a crime.
Adopting a version of Ferrari-style wheel covers (BMW-Sauber/Renault/Toyota) for 2008 is not spying because these covers have already been used and seen on the track last year.
Rule books? There are 2. One Ferrari One the rest.
