Nelsinho Piquet is well aware that he has much to learn over the course of his maiden Formula 1 campaign in 2008, but if the car is capable of winning races, he asserts, then that is exactly what he will be aiming to do.
Nelson, tell us how good he is when you are beating Fernando and Flavio tells you to let him by. You'll be a good B.I.T.C.H for Renault.

How can piquet comment when he hasn't started the season yet. I wonder if he will be saying the same at the end of the year when he keeps getting told by Briatore to pull over and let Alonso pass. There will be some toys being thrown in the Renault garage this year.
Seems like there is such a thing as "genes"? The Son seems to be as "loose mouthed" as his Father was?

I don't understand how Piquet is qualified to judge, but both are fine managers and have proved as much. Flav is definately more a better personal relations manager, but Ron has to be more technically adept. As far as I am aware, Flav couldn't engineer his way out of a paper bag. Even so, they've both proved to be in the top % of F1 managers over the years.

I agree with Snoopys comments, it,s easy to forget how good both managers are and of course they are both very different people, if any faults Ron Dennis had was perhaps commercial impatience got the better of him in regards to letting Hamilton, get a good shot at the title over a world champion, given the circumstances who would not do the same, it was that close

where exactly in the article did he say that flavio was better than ron?

I agree with Mojo. It looks like Crash is trying to create some controversy where there is none. I can't see any reference to RD in the article at all. That headline is very misleading. Come on Crash, please raise your game.
Guys.. I bet most of you DO NOT read the article... there is nothing there that compares between FB and RD. You just read the title and made a comment. I feel sorry for you man!. Nelson just said Flavio is good manager.

It says he's said "Flav is a much better manager" so I'm guessing the journo thinks that the comparison to RD is implied there. Sounds like a funny phrasing though, I'm thinking this might be from an interview in english or something like that and it's really down to the language barrier. I get his point though, although obviously I've never met any of them it would seem like Flav's a more socially skilled team leader, not only more so than Ron Dennis specifically but probably more than most other team principals. Then again, many of them are originally either engineers or former racers. Each background would of course have its own pros and cons.

Here's the actual quote - at least I almost got it right "Flavio [Briatore Renault F1managing director] is a much better boss and he won't let that happen"

Much better than who? He can only be referring to people who have been his previous boss. He is in no way able to comment on any other boss in F1.
