Max Mosley's reign as President of the FIA – Formula 1's governing body – is badly damaging the sport, according to former Minardi owner Paul Stoddart.
It would be nice to see Minardi back in F1. If they ever do? I hope they get a good manufacture to come in with them! ie VW, or someone like that. Or they may struggle again!
Mosley is the reason I stopped watching F1, do Ferrari pay his wages

I like Paul Stoddart. I think the sport needs guys like him. Never afrid to say what he thinks.
Pack your bags Max please. (I did ask nicely)

Yeah, if it had to be a manufacturer return, VW/Audi group would be great.

2 great things about Paul Stoddart: 1) His candour and willingness to say what he thinks. 2) His shoe size is the same as mine, so I got a pair of his race shoes at the Minardi auction - brilliant!!!!
While I respect Paul Stoddart I think this statement is not not very well thought out. Mosely is the head of the FIA not the head of F1. Stoddart does not seem to have a conflict competing in other FIA sanctioned series. Why limit it to F1. If he really feels this way about the head of the FIA then don't compete in any FIA sanctioned series.
I have no time for Stoddart, he has tried and failed and yet still expects to be treafed as one of the icons of F1. All he is is nothing more than a dodgy wheeler dealer.
And MAX has his faults, but he has done a lot for the safety of the sport and for the motorist. That would be me and YOU!

Hoorah for Paul Stoddart. Honest and to the point, as always. And dead right about Mosley.

It would be great if "Stoddy" could get back in to F1 and depose MM - I Like "Stoddy" F1 needs more like him
Mosley as head of the FIA is in a sense head of F1, and while head of the FIA he has done nothing except bow down to and do he bidding of Ferrari. Anything he has done regarding F1 was done because he was forced to by FOC, Manufactures and\or the Divers....or by Ferrari. He already have been called out for his statement "that there would be no F1 if not for Ferrari" and he would continue to protect and do everything he can to ensure Farrari remains in F1! With so many the manufactures involved in F1 should Ferrari leave the sport will continue on....maybe for the better!

Thank you Andy. If minardi did come back they would need a manufacturer in as part of the team, or they could suffer as a privateer team, as they have done before! It would have been nice to see them on the podium in the past! As for Max i do go much on him, but i do respect the amount of work he put in to make te cas/sport alot safer. which is a plus for him! I wonder what it be like if Paul stoddart was FIA president? I think every team/fans would bennefit, not one team!?

Mosley is known to find Stoddart (or Stodf*rt as he calls him) hilarious. The fact is that Stoddy failed in F1 and failed again in Champcar (RIP). He has no chance of getting back in F1.
After selling Minardi he tried to set himself up as the teams' representative against the FIA but no one wanted him. None of the teams take him seriously. If you want to have a go at Max, you need someone a bit more switched on than Stoddy.
At the moment, the teams are pro Max and supporting what he's trying to do, so Stoddy won't get much reaction in the paddock. This could change but that won't help Stoddy. He should try F3 or maybe GP2 and forget F1. It's much too difficult for him.

Until Stoddart gives specific details of how he sees Mosley as waging a vendetta against anyone, i'll give the benefit of the doubt to FIA and Max.
Nothing exact can be gleaned from the article except obscure allegations. He's decided to say it out loud so why not really say it properly? Anyone with an objective mind can always dismiss his statement as an excuse why he is not currently a participant in this F1 season.
The same can probably be said about a lot of posters in these discussion boards about 'Max step down!', 'Max resign', 'out with Bernie' and more but there have been no substantial details as to why? Some, i feel, are just "going with the flow". Cool to be a rebel ey?

Stoddart's public persona is different to the work and private one, he's a failed racing driver himself, a bit of a jovial chump to some. But at least he has done one good thing and hi-lights Mad Max as the biggest Chump in F1.

At the end of the day, Stoddard was giving an interview, was asked his opinion, and gave it. Fair play to him, for saying what he thought. Not many people do that any more for fear of repercussion.
I for one think that max has made a series of fundamental misjudements in F1 over the past few years, and he has hidden behind the excuse of 'safety' to justify many of the changes implemented.
I think his comments about giving Ferrari special treatment to compensate them for the fact their not in britain is shocking. The FIA's job is to administer one set of rules evenly and fairly for all involved.
I believe F1's reputation has suffered as a result of Max's personal agenda.

I always say that there are people who want to wear the shoes bigger than their normal size, Stoddart included.
is there any body who can help me to know exactly what happened between Max and Stoddart?

It seems that there are 2 camps in most F1 forums including the one here at crash net. There are those who like Ferrari + Max + Mosley and there are those who like any other teams & have no love for Max or Mosley. How is that?

Max or Mosley? :P
Ok, seriously, I very much doubt that Stoddart will ever get any manufacturer behind him. As someone said before, noone takes him seriously. Max & Mosley have done good things and bad things for the sport. But what has Stoddart done, really? He's just a bitter clown.

Can someone explain exactly what Mosley is supposed to have done wrong? It's no good misquoting him over Ferrari (like Greg) or making vague unspecified allegations (like dc). We need facts not waffle.
You may not like him but that does not mean he is bad for F1. Has he ever breached the rules to help Ferrari or anyone else? If so, when?
The only certainty I know of is that he was accused by all sorts of people of conducting a witch hunt against McLaren/Ron but was then completely vindicated when the full facts became known and McLaren issued a grovelling apology.
It's time for his detractors to put up or shut up. By all means criticise but be accurate and try to be fair.
