Supreme Kimi blows cobwebs away in Sepang.

Superb Kimi blows cobwebs away in Sepang.

Kimi Raikkonen catapulted Ferrari back into the world title fight following the Prancing Horse's disastrous season-opening Australian Grand Prix just seven days ago, by storming to an unchallenged victory in Malaysia as McLaren wilted in the searing heat.

I finished painting the wall behind the television just before the race started, and it was great. I was able to watch paint dry and an F1 race at the same time. Not sure which was more exciting.

It's funny how some of the british fans say this only because Hamilton didn't win, otherwise you'd be praising the hell out of him, give it up, yes it was boring but give some credit to Raikkonen for a easy victory and also to Kubica for beating the Mclarens fair and square.

Tom,the first guy was commenting on how dull the race was and yet you managed to alter it to yet another dig at Hamilton! What is wrong with you? Also to the 6 people who have agreed with you so far, what are you actually agreeing to?How boring the race was or how sad you are to agree with someone who makes up a story totally out of context with the thread?

Great result for Kimi confirming the obvious that Ferrari will be very quick this season.

Always an uphill task for the McLaren pair who were well off the pace throughout with Hamilton unable to get past to Webber for an eternity and an awful pit stop which undoubtably cost Hamilton a podium. Also HK despite 3rd looks very average.

Poor show from McLaren this weekend although the start of Hamilton was probably the bright spot on what was a rather boring race to watch.

Kimi made it look so simple and but for Massa's indiscretion, it was a nice little demonstration of Ferrari prowess.

Not the most exciting of Races, but shows that the top three, Ferrari,Mclaren & BMW will win Races, Massa,s off, can happen to the contenders anytime and it will

Massa needs to get his act together quickly or he may not last the season. When you think about it most drivers have managed to adapt to driving without TC. We've seen a bit of sliding here and there but very few right spins. He's driving like a rookie at the moment and Ferrari need two points scoring drivers to have a shot at the Constructor's title.

oscars only "comment " was to rail against those who were "having a dig" against LH. the main story was about KR's win. he didn't comment on this, so this is why i suggested that he make comments about the story rather than against people who don't like LH

Any time Kimi wins it's borring a borrig race to LH's fans. Got news for you - the star of Merc should be HK, but then again you just don't want to acknoweldge that.

When LH got a clear track, I expected to see a succession of purple times on the live timing, Schumacher style, but he continued to circulate well off the pace. Yet when he had a chance of catching Trulli there was a purple first section and very nearly fastest lap. It would be interesting to know why he did not go faster sooner when the track in front was clear..

BTW, for those who haven't tried it, the live timing makes both race and qualifying much more interesting.

We have to take notes on drivers running their engines on the 2nd race: Kovalainen, Hamilton, Alonso, Rosberg, Heidfeld, Nakajima. They didn't perform as well as the rest. Most likely they limit the RPM to a slightly lower value than others.

My guess is Bahrain would be a different playing field for the drivers. Expect McLarens to be back on top, Heidfeld would topple Kubica, Alonso would probably be faster, Williams might as well back in top ten.

Let's wait and see.

When was the last time we had six different drivers on the first two podiums? If that isn't a clue to how mixed up this season will be, I don't know what is.

i dont think alonso s car underperformed, in fact he said he thought they d be further behind. he got a bad start as he was on heavy load and at turn2 there was a coming together right in front of him. i dont think bahrain will be any better.

"For sure we could have gone much faster if we had pushed, but we had already turned the engines down before the first pit-stop, so it was quite easy for us." - Kimi.

Rudolf ur point might be quite right .. but just add this fellow to ur list, cause if they were preserving engine today .. i cant imagine how faster they wud have gone ..

I wonder why Alons elected to make such a long first stint if it was not to make a single stop.
I undestand that he wanted to stay as long as possible on track, but to the point of getting scotched on the grid compared to the others, is it not a little bit overdoing it?

So you some of guys thought it was a good race? I see it is now 17 cretins who have voted that they agree with the second post but we still do not know if rip is British.I am statring to think some of you guys need your brains reprogramming! You will vote for anything anti Hamilton despite whether it makes sense or not.We then have this Richard guy who tries to explain it by saying about keeping to the story!!He needs to read the original storyline and then read the first comment by rip.How does that justify the second post?Crazy people!!!
