Mosley 'embarrassed', but refuses to go.

Sort Comments:

Mosley 'embarrassed', but refuses to go.

Max Mosley has rejected calls to resign from his position as President of the FIA, after refusing to deny his participation in a sado-masochistic orgy with five prostitutes but insisting there had been no ‘Nazi connotations' as has been suggested.

Although I believe quite a lot of exaggeration has been brought into this from the media I do believe it's time for him to resign. If this isn't 'bringing the sport into disrepute', like he so often says, I don't know what is. He's had 15 years now and has done a lot of good on the safety front, but this revelation, as well as questions of favouritism surely mean it's time for someone else to take over.

F.U.C.K Mosley and his privacy. If it's brought something of this magnitude to the surface then all's fair in love and war as far as I'm concerned. It's one thing for a pop star to be chased by the paps everywhere they go, that's much more an invasion of privacy. If you're the head of F1 you have standards to adhere to. Getting caught in an orgy with 5 prossies deserves the axe, the bloke is a complete nob jockey anyway so I for one would be glad to see him go.

Mosley....... I wouldn't like to be one of those grid girls with you about...... or did the orgy last 5 hours because it took that long for your viagra tablet to take effect.

Unfortunately the sport will be further damaged in the interim period(between now and the date you finally decide to resign)but resign you will, but the sport will no doubt witness more of your arrogance as predicted until then.

Perhaps you could wear a mini skirt or thong during your next grid walk.

At a time when F1 has a chance to revolutionise itself with the new regs and the way young drivers are coming through, this just makes the sport look stupid. Personally, I don't think it shouldn't be up to him if he stays - people have been forced to walk for a lot less. How can the FIA now pass down any punishments or rulings and be taken seriously now... Max, it really is time to go - not for what you've done exactly, but for the effect it has and will have on the sport you are supposed to be presiding over.

Just a couple of months ago i was quite upset with Ron's role in the spy row and then MAX acted like a SAINT.. Now we know that most men if not all on the top can be SAINTS. Everybody has to come under the AXE some time or the other.. Its amazing how the world can turn around for a person..During the SPY ROW, Max must have thought he was invincible.

It is surely time for him to go. He has always been a controversial figure, but sadly not in a good way. Completely dictatorial, self-admitted favouritism to certain teams, and vindictive crushing of those who criticise him. I doubt that there has ever been an authority figure of a World governing body that has been so reviled by both the people under his jurisdiction, and the general public. Possibly only Juan Antonio Samaranch, the ex-IOC president, comes close.
His refusal to resign and preserve some dignity for both himself and the office of President of the FIA, unfortunately shows his extreme arrogance and lack of integrity once again. Bad for the Sport, bad for us.
Time to go Max.

Typical behaviour of a this kind of power hungry person, desperately clinging to power. The only way he will go is if he is pushed, because he won't jump. It's up to the FIA board to take action, but I doubt this will happen because they are all similarly power hungry and these types stick together.

People like Max live in their own little personal rich persons world, where the rules of society simply do not apply . Married man in a six person nazi themed orgy, fine, as long as the money and/or booze and drugs are flowing .

If this does not end in the resignation of Max it will be an utter disgrace, and will just prove that F1 is sport where the mantra - The Rich Get Richer And The Poor Get The Picture is sacrosanct .

I thought his ramblings and actions over the last couple of years would have people wondering about his worthiness of the job he holds, this must surely be the last straw .

Today, Max Mosley & the FIA are a total disgrace to the world of motorsports. Who was it who said that today's F1 lacks the sex scandals of the past just a month ago? Was it Max Mosley?

Surely the FIA has to be headed by someone of good moral standing. It is now certain, if these reports are true, that Mosely is not. I am certainly offended that this man represents the pinnacle of motorsport and can only believe that sponsors and those that partake in motorsport and the general public are repulsed by Mosely and his behaviour. His position is untenable and he must resign.

Sadly though, I dont think it will be any better if he does go because 'Le petit Genital' oops I mean 'general' will get the job. Stoddart or JYS wont get the vote.

Bernie - Why so quiet all of a sudden?

I am missing your insight into your friend's "joke".

The funny thing about Max is that he is so surprised that he is in trouble for this one.

It must be shocking to be taken down by something no doubt less than the worst things he has ever done.

Private life - fine, but have you ever heard of a compromising position? Max put his organization in jeopardy through this habit. It would not be the first time bribery was used by a prostitute with a video tape.

Max claims a setup to expose his personal life - what if it had been a setup by a tire company or a gas company to get into F1? This is reckless and stupid behavior.

Personally I don't give a damn what Mosely does in his spare time. But things are going from bad to worse for him professionally and everything he says just make me cringe. A person in his position does have certain responsibilities. And if you are going to have such a public and high profile job you have to expect these invasions of provacy and have a respnsibility not be caught in a position that compromises you and your organization.

I don't like him much, and while he has done some good things, overall I feel he has done more damage than good in F1. But it's kind of sad watching him desperately trying to cling on to his job.

Just go Max with what little credibility and dignity you have left.

However I don't think that the wee fat one will be any better... Can only hope he doesn't get the job

Quite right Geno - good point. A deeply suspicious person might wonder if Ferrari knew of his 'Appetite' years ago for instance thus explaining much. All his decisions are now compromised. Quit now Max.

Hope he stays a bit longer then the stink will infect the FIA/F1M too. By time they decide they want him out it will be too late and they will all look like DIRTY PERVERTED OLD CORRUPT sad cases.

Come on Max go to war with the papers we want to see it...
