The manufacturers' involved in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship have hit out at FIA president Max Mosley following revelations about his private life over the weekend in the News of the World.
got to love his response where he, in a very calculated manner brough up BMW and Mercedes past and then says they are right to distance themselves from such things but asks them to find out whether its true or not, yet doesnt actually deny anything. Then seems almost to be threatening them through the FIA and how they would respond...
I'm not surprised Ferrari have kept quiet - Max has always been on their side!
The puzzling part for me is that Max is only reported to be suing over breach of privacy - surely if his claims that thee was no Nazi connotation to the situation are true he would be suing over liable as well?!?
I just don't see how he thinks he can go on in the role, he needs to stand down before they issue him his P45.

Strange that Ferrari and Renault haven't said anything. I hope this has nothing to do with Renault getting off last years scandal or Mosleys Ferrari favouritism. Even the prince of Bahrain said he didn't want Mosley coming over this weekend. There is only 1 person that has power over Mosley and that is Bernie so i think a lot of the teams have been pressured by max for to long and think this is the perfect time to get him out.
just go Max, even if it was conspiracy do you not think there was a reason for it!

not being au-fait with the FIA set-up, but moseley says his position (no pun intended,or maybe it is!) is a voluntary, unpaid position. who actually "elected" moseley to the position. surely these same people can now sack him! there are more than bmw and merc with german connections. what is view of all the german drivers, and red bull, and str? maybe they should be asked to comment. toyota, based in cologne, have acted.
I am no Max Mosley fan, trust me, but I wish we would stay out of each other's bedrooms. Lots of people role play in their sex lives, and if everyone in F1 who ever had relations with a prostitute were banned from F1, how many would be left? I condemn Max for the job he has done as FIA President and if we are going to run him out of F1, it should be for the job he has done as FIA President, not for his sex life.
Come on Flavio, it's at times like this that solidarity is called for. While nobody in their wildest dreams would expect Ferrari to rock the FIA boat (after all they fund it).
Renault or you have nothing to lose, indeed with your BE connections we might be seeing the banner at Bahrain "Flav for President" (ahhh, but MM has the same connections doesn't he!).
Just a thought, if MM gets the sack will he have to return the £150m Bernie gave him as a gift? What a tangled web F1 is!
amazes me how he thinks he can continue, he has too leave due too this. ok, it was a personal thing, and weve all done personal things, but EVERYONE knows about this, so even if it wasnt him, which i doubt very much, its his reputation that has been heavily tarnished, he has got to go!!!
At his level of public life not much is private, & he should know that having made the choice to be political years ago.
How many times hasnt he used the media to his advantage with Paul Stod', the Mclaren issue last year, etc ... did he think the media were his friends & working for him?
Using the media is like trying to tame a wild animal, it can turn on you at any time.

He thinks his money gives him the right to do anything he pleases. When you have the power base he has there is a certain amount of servitude that comes with his status. He does not expect any of us to understand as we are beneath him.

Covert operation or not the man has failed as a leader and as the President of the ultimate authority in Motorsport, which encompasses so many major industrial concerns, and leaders of industry who behave with the greatest of integrity in their private and public lives.
The manufacturers have now made it clear that his behaviour is deplorable.
The more he procrastinates in tendering his resignation, the worse the repercussions are going to be for the sport.
On one hand i still go by the view that Max Mosley's private life is... well, private. But on the other hand, it's going to be difficult for Formula 1 to keep it's focus on the sport while all this brouhaha is boiling away. I'm not going to moralize on what's wrong or right. It's not for me to say if Max Mosley should or shouldn't go. But if he does, i think it would do FIA some good if they can groom Charlie Whiting to take over the post. Enough of the motorsport politics, let's get someone in there that has a good technical understanding of how the sport works. In that way, FIA gets back to it's real job of overseeing motorsports from a technical viewpoint and do away with the politics.

Ferrari? No response at all from them. No support for your favourite boytoy? Hmmm Little Toad and ferrari must be thinking MM Toad in and Ferrari still has control of FIA board.
Nah only kidding. Someone just shoot this wounded animal and end his misery and our misery.

The sick media brings these sick stories out in the open. Why? Is this important news? Is it relevant? No, its simply because people love to attack an easy prey that is thrown in "the www-ring" by the sick media.
You might not have noticed it, but the majority on this anonymous forum has lost all off its reasonable objectivity on the matter. Most indirectly display simply their personal bedroom preferences, and NOT their opinion, in a completely subjective way and link it to MM's job...
Tell me, factually, what does it have to do with F1? Right, Nothing.
(Now, obviously most, guilty of the above, must disagree with me to keep their consience clean ;)) What a joke...

The fact is Mosley is a public figure and has achieved a great deal from his career because of that. He chose to be in this position and as such sacraficed some of his right to a private life. That is not to say he can not have a private life, he just has to be aware that mistakes will be highlighted (and such distastful acts pounced upon). The media cannot be blamed for hurt caused to his family, he did that himself.
It annoys me when people whos career is based on public interest in what they do, whether they are footballers, drivers or other public people complain that people are interest in them. Thats why you are multi millionaires. If you want a private life become an accountant
