Former Formula 1 star Juan-Pablo Montoya has insisted the sex scandal enveloping Max Mosley is merely ‘a laughing matter', as one of the sport's team owners also sprang to the FIA President's defence but further high-profile motoring bodies deserted him.
"Mosley is the leader of the FIA. He is a role model for young people."
He probably is moreso now than before this came to light...

LOL.. I dont think I know anyone under 50 that wants to be president of the FIA. I think most young people are more interested in being Katie Price or Paris Hilton (and thats just the boys)
People don't want to be president of the FIA - why not?
There's prancing around the world at someone elses expense, the mock trials you can run to humiliate people you don't like, and best of all, if you sign away all of the FIA's money to one Bernie Ecclestone, he'll give you £300m backhanders every now and then.
I wonder if Juan's wife would have the same view? And in no way is Mosley a role model for anyone. A greedy old man with no morals.

LOL You could be right And since the news of the world story 'FIA President' has probably become a very requested occupation when the kids meet their career advisors
I went to my local strip joint last night & was pleased to see that I can now choose from a table dance, a lap dance & a Max Mosley ...
I cant sit so well today ...

What does being a role model for young people has anything to do with someone's sex life in the privacy of their own home. The abuse done is by the media that think they can haul people's personal preferences on the public just because it is deemed juicy reading. JPM is right this is stuff we used to laugh at in the movies. People are getting way too serious and losing all perspective.

The president of a governing body is supposed to have authority. He may even need to be awe-inspiring.
How could Max have any authority at all now? I even wonder how he will dare appear in public, where a smile on a face might well mean "you were so ridiculous on this video naughty boy!".
On the other hand, spanking might become the main sanction in case of breach of the FIA rules, with 'spanking naked and tied with German insults' being the most terriblepunishment, except for the President as it would be for him an incentive to break the rules...
No really, Max is just plain ridiculous, he should leave and ask Mrs Mosley to spank him at home from now on.

George ... it's no longer private. Do you think this is the first time he put his morals and wife in the trash can. It shows what kind of person he is and that is what can not be tolerated. He has the resources to keep his private affairs behind closed doors. It is apparent that he has become careless and it shows in his work.

I am interested to see when the case goes to the HIgh COurt in July what other allegations about Mosley's conduct may suddenly appear into the public eye and in front of the Law Lords who will hear this case. Because surely or not Murdoch like J Edgar Hoover of the FBI may or may not have some serious dirt on Mosley's past conduct and exploits that has never been heard in the public arena, that if published will severe damage and sink Mosley's reputation into the dark annals of notriety and corruption. As the old line goes "Power corrupts, Absolute power, corrupts absolutely". And I believe the sexual shannigans of Mosley is une exampleur.

I bet JPM wouldn't find it so funny if the role play had included some Colombian girls being humilliated by cartel drug traffickers!

Nice try Maruca but Montoya is pretty calous, he would probably enjoy that.
If anything the man has made a laughing stock of himself and his position as President of the FIA is no longer tenable. He has not broken any laws, but being shown exhibiting himself in such a way has made Max the joke of the year, and he has made a mockery of his position. Prolonging his departure shall make matters worse for him seeing the number of invitations that have been withdrawn by certain countries, and of course will give more time for more leaders of national associations to discuss the matter. In a calm environment and not on the spur of the moment, people will make much more rational decisions. His days in the FIA are numbered.
The intrusion of the News of the World into the private sex lives of consenting adults who were not indulging in any illegal activity should be of much greater concern than what a randy old man gets up to in his spare time.JPM got it right.Unfortunately hypocrisy is a much more highly regarded commodity than the individual's right to privacy particularly by the maggots of the media.

JPM is **** stiring because he can. He's no longer involved with F1 and left the game with a bad taste in his mouth so he's going for a few publicity points. This is the work of a desperate second rate reporter trying to get his story printed with opinions from people who have left F1 in bad curcumstances expecting some juicy responses. Sure JPM can call it a laughing matter because he's no longer involved. I bet if he was still racing in F1 he would have a different response. Probably 'No Comment' like most in F1 except for the people that have the balls, dingnity and respect for the sport to actually voice their opinion. This is not a laughing matter it's just SICK! Mosely's got to go...

Come on, it is pretty funny. Some excitement needs to come from somewhere and it sure as hell isn't happening on the track.
If there was no Nazi involvement (and no has said or proved their was) saying it's "SICK" is going a bit far, don't be such a prude. While I still think he needs to stand down as a man of his position has responsibilities, If it was some normal person who would care.
