Ok so Lewis is happy with his car now, and good luck to him! But i think his season started back in Austrailia, and not now, he has alot of catching up to do but by going by Ferrari and BMW performance sofar the task will not be easy! lewis is good, but he still has alot to learn, and be more patient with his driving and not repeat what he did to Fernando in the last race. He should pick the right time to pass people and not try to be a hero on the opening lap!
here we go again! another lulu story! surely the season start was when it started "to get busy". was he not trying before now?? kovi still faster than lulu in testing although there may have bee different set-ups etc.but lets not pass final judgment until after a few more races.
"This is where it needs to start" he means i think.

Well I guess the season starts in different times for some drivers, this is comical. Fot Massa it started in Bahrain and now Shamilton thinks the season starts in Spain lol lol lol.
Anyway Shamilton might be happier with his car but so are everybody else so if the pecking order doesn't change much then can we see a Mclaren win in Barcelona on their 2nd race engine? Doubtful. Podium should be your aim boy not race win.

2008 has up to now yielded two wins for Ferrari, one each for its two drivers and a win for McLaren. BMW-Sauber are leading the CC with consistent results in the three races, and Kimi is leading in the drivers points. All other teams are neither here nor there due to the fact that only one driver in the next four teams in the points is performing and then again not consistently. Nakajima, Glock and Piquet have not found their feet yet, and the experienced Coulthard has caused more track problems than anyone else. Europe, starting from Barcellona, as Lewis said, shall be the tell all of what we shall expect for the rest of the season. Sit back and enjoy it, the best will win in the end.
whats all this shamilton stuff? if you dont like the guy atleast make up a decent "slagging off term" give the guy a break. Anything can happen in F1.... (and im no hamilton noob/geek) just dont wright anything off....look what happened to ferrari in aus.....

Far be it for me to second guess any driver, but I interpreted his 'gets busy' comment as relating to the uptick in car development, as its much more difficult to take parts to fly-aways, and the whole cycle spins faster on the European legs.
Fingers crossed for some weather at Barcelona, as its the only way it will turn in an interesting race.

Richard, what I do not get about you is that you keep whining about yet another story about Hamilton and yet you continue to add your pearls of wisdom to the other comments. If you find it so boring just move on,it has got to be easier than taking the trouble to type a response????

Tealeaf your continued calling of Hamilton by your cleverly created new name Shamilton still brings tears of laughter whenever I read it!Is it possible you can turn your creative powers to other drivers in the same way? I think this could be your way into the world of writing comic scripts for TV and film!Have a good think about it because you have a real flair!

Strange, when LH was with FA, he obviusly was not paying attention. Back then, the season started straight away, and was consistant through out.

alan, thanks for your kind comments. i will "moan" about whoever i wish, be it alonso, DC, kimi et al. you also appear to be able to moan and antagonise people who are followers of anyone of whom you disapprove. i dont dislike hamilton, i just dislike the jingoistic hype that surrounds him. you,who i think comes from USA, are not subject to the constant barrage of hamomania. i e in this weeks autocar magazine, his father was titled "the best known dad in the world"!!!!! i call hamilton "lulu" sometimes i think it suits him, tealeaf calls him "shamilton".so what! it makes no difference to you unless you are his personal PR chief.
Didnt he say "The season has started perfectly" after Oz? I guess now that he is behind in the title he wants the scores to be reset to 0 :P
Im looking forward to this race, i was expecting to be working but now have the weekend off, i guess that i could have a more exciting race off, like the Belgian.
I predict Raikkonen Hamilton and Massa on the podium, no particular order. Something tells me we wont see a BMW in the top 3 of the race, but only time will tell.
Well see, if Ferrari and Macca go on throwing points down the road, something not unlikely providing the inconsistency their drivers have so far showed, BMW may well pull an alonso and take not only the CC but the wdc too in 08
It's nice to see a driver psyching themselves to do better but frankly it's not news I'm sure other drivers are saying the same thing or at least wishing to get on the podium. I remember when all the news on BBC Motorsport Formula One was all about LH as if no one else existed it was really shameful IMHO

Sounds like Hamilchoke is now on the back foot. I was expecting his next comment to be far more braver and more stupid than this... he's known for that anyways. Good to see that his Bahrain fortunes might have humbled him some. Or is it the new PR machine of McLaren working properly?
I do hope that Toyota, Renault and Honda get up to the level of Ferrari, BMW and McLaren. Would be great to see some more fight from Kovalainen because i honestly feel that he's just starting to get a feel for the team. When that happens, Loud Lewis will have more competition on his hands. That would make it truly a season to remember.

i think we talk too much about Hamilton. He doesn't deserve all this attention. At least not yet.

There are atleast 6 drivers who have a chance to win a race depending on various factors and Lewis is one among them. But everytime he says that he is going to win, is adding unnessary pressure on himself...for a change I would like him to do the talking on the track..but in Barcelona, Ferrari still holds a slight edge, in the last two races Maclaren's true capability had not been reflected, for which the whole team is responsible. unless they get their act together...Hmmm..we will wait and see...BMW is gaining steam...so thats great..

I'm SO tired of the hypocrisy in the F1-watching world. Everything boils down to Lewis Hamilton, and it's so tedious.
I'm a KR fan but I've got nothing against Hamilton. Yes, he's egotistic. Yes, he needs to learn some humility. Yes, there are people who think the sun shines out of his ass. And yes, he's also fast. And yes, considering his nascent career he's done exceedingly well. And yes, he's charismatic and politically correct, most of the time.
What has he done to offend so many people so badly? His dice with Alonso last year? He did what he had to do to win, and in my mind, Alonso was the one who played dirty.
Can we just all take a deep breath and take our spotlights of this guy?
